I had the pleasure of spending a late afternoon with these two a few weeks ago under the Bridge to Nowhere. They're Yuma transplants, getting married back home in Illinois next fall, and needed some engagement photos for their save the date cards.
In her first email to me, Amy described them as "one of the least photogenic couples" and hoped I'd be able to capture some of their goofy relationship along with their fur-baby, Roscoe. And as for the future groom? After we shook hands, he warned me that his face "gets weird" when a camera is pointed at it. I laughed and assured him that he'd be just fine, weird face and all.
I asked them to walk toward me. "Give him a little bump!" I said. "Just try to knock him over."
She took me seriously!
And here are a few with the fur-baby.
On their first date, he told her he'd marry her someday. And there would be a can of beans, and she'd have to eat them to get to the ring.
You'll be pleased to know, as I was, the while there was a can of beans at the proposal, she didn't have to eat them. <3
