It was a beautiful, sunny morning in Yuma when I got in my car, grabbed some coffee, and began to head over the mountains to San Diego for a wedding. On the way, the sky grew darker and the wind picked up.
Wind! Clouds! I thought, getting excited. This could be gorgeous. But please, no rain ...
Just in case, I stopped by a grocery store and picked up small trash bags and a package of hair bands to fashion a makeshift rain protector for my camera.
We waited outside the temple for the couple to emerge, and I was able to get some great shots of the family and friends. The weather cooperated long enough to get a few awesome shots of the couple in front of the temple, before it started raining in earnest during the family formals. Alas, the bride was wet and not feeling well, so we called it a day.
Lucky for me, they were willing to meet up again a week later for a bridal session back home under the Ocean-to-Ocean bridge, which Josh--a fellow history buff--has always loved.
Beautiful couple, gorgeous bride, and a beautiful evening. Congratulations on the start of eternity, you two!
